On the afternoon of September 15, 2026, the First Members’ Congress of the Ninth Term of the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Association, together with the First Council and Supervisory Board meetings of the Ninth Term, was held in the Baihua Hall on the fourth floor of the Qingsongcheng Grand Hotel in Shanghai. The meeting reviewed and summarized the work of the Eighth-term Council and Supervisory Board, and elected the members of the Ninth-term Council, Supervisory Board, and the association’s leadership team. Wang Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Materials Co., Ltd., was elected President of the Ninth-term Council of the Association.

The meeting heard and deliberated on the following reports: the “Work Report of the Eighth Council,” the “Work Report of the Eighth Supervisory Board,” the “Audit Report on the Financial Revenues and Expenditures of the Eighth Council,” the “Report on the Election‑for‑New‑Term Process,” the “Explanation on Amendments to the Articles of Association of the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Association and the Revised Draft of the Articles of Association,” the “Election Procedures for the Ninth Council, Supervisory Board, President, Vice Presidents, and Chairperson of the Supervisory Board,” the “List of Chief Polling Officers and Polling Officers for the First Session of the Ninth Members’ Congress, together with an Explanation of Their Appointment,” the “Explanation and List Regarding the Nomination and Selection of Candidates for Members of the Ninth Council and Supervisors of the Ninth Supervisory Board,” and the “List of Candidates for President, Vice Presidents of the Ninth Council, and Chairperson of the Ninth Supervisory Board, along with an Explanation and List of Recommendations for the Appointment of the Secretary‑General.” The meeting adopted all of the aforementioned proposals by a show of hands.

At the meeting, a secret ballot was conducted to elect 75 members to the ninth council of the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Association and 3 members to the ninth supervisory board. Wang Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Materials Co., Ltd., was elected President of the association’s ninth council; Li Zhenghua, Vice President of Shanghai Baheal Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., was elected Chairman of the ninth supervisory board; and 21 individuals, including Wang Jun, were elected Vice Presidents of the ninth council.
